The Fast and The Fierce...

Where has this month gone? I mean, it was just the middle of the month! Time flies when you are having fun I guess.

I have a couple of new looks to share with you plus a hot, new hair product to share!

Look 1:
Here I used Savvy's Gotcha Grape, Maybelline's Impeccable Grey's, and Essie's Set in Stone.

Look 2:
Here I used Cover Girl's Lingering Spice and Kiss's Leopard Nail Stickers!
(I have also done this look with Loreal's Club Prive'...the mint green color...and it looked fantastic!)
I got several compliments on both nails over the past few weeks! Also...the Kiss Brand nail stickers are only $3.00! Who can't afford that! I have had mine on for over 2 weeks now and they are still on strong! Plus they last longer if I only use it as an accent!  You're Welcome Ladies!!

AND I found a great new product! I ran out of my Aquage Root Uplifting Foam and I live about 45 minutes from a big city so good products are hard to come by...SO...I did what every other girl does that lives in a super small town...I headed into the matchbox sized Wal-mart. I was searching and searching and my eyes caught on to this:

First of all it is in a super pretty, hot pink bottle...AND it has rhinestones...the girl inside of me screamed with joy! So of course I had to try it! While I do not like it as much as my Aquage, it does the job and keeps volume in my hair...so here is a new product out there for you to try! It sure doesn't hurt to explore your options ladies!

I hope you have had a fantastic February and I hope you get lucky in March!! Talk to you soon!

XOXO,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Love Day!

Here is my Valentine look:
(forgive the dry cuticles!) Here I used OPI's Alpine snow, Essie Luxeffects A Cut Above, Maybelline's Impeccable Greys, and Essie Luxeffects Set In Stone.

For some of you, it is a happy day filled with love, chocolates, and dates (with a special someone or just your friends)!
For others, it's a day of bitterness, chocolates, and movies on your couch while you curse the love gods for not bringing you that special someone.

Either way, I hope you find something in this day to be thankful for and someone in your life to say "I Love You" to.

XOXO,

Nailing Your Valentine Look Part 3

Well, last night I created a few easy to change looks using the Cover Girl's Tickled Pink:
I combined it with Nail Pro's Silver Slipper

Here I combined it with Alpine Snow with ULTA's Pinata-yada-yada

Here I combined it with Loreal's Club Prive!

These are some easy changes that you could use this next week OR for spring and summer!

And now for a harder look to perfect (but it's my favorite thus far):
Here I combined Covergirl's Tickled Pink with OPI's Alpine Snow and Maybelline's Impeccable Greys.

This was a super frustrating look...I am not going to lie. It takes a long time to do. But that is mainly because I am impatient and I don't want to have to wait for the nail polish to dry to do the next step. So here is how I did it:

1. Painted my nail with the grey.
2. I waited for that to dry...and you have to wait until it dries completely!
3. I used 2 nail tip stickers cut in half to make the pattern.
4. I painted the white over the stickers.
5. I waited for the white to dry completely (actually no, I didn't...but that is what you want to do!! I was impatient so it didn't come out as beautifully as I hoped.)
6. I finished it off (like I do all my other looks) with OPI's Start to Finish.

XOXO,

Nailing Your Valentine Look Part 2

Hey Ladies, Here are some more looks you can create:

This one looks much better in person! I used Maybelline's Impeccable Greys, OPI Alpine Snow, and Essie's A Cut Above

Here you can go for a more bold approach with the pink and keep it simple.
or you can embellish a little:

Here I used CoverGirl Outlast in Tickled Pink, OPI Alpine Snow, and Maybelline Impeccable Greys.

More looks coming soon!!

Nailing your Valentine Look!

So I have recently started thinking about Valentine's day and some looks that you could create with your nails! Here are a couple that I came up with...the 4th nail could be a quick change when you want a different look in a short amount of time. Here are a couple of the looks:

I used Maybelline's Impeccable Greys, OPI's Alpine Snow, and Savvy's Party Pink.

I think using the Party Pink as the background with white polka dots would be super cute as well...

More Valentine options coming soon!!

Getting Older...

You know you're getting old when...

1. You and your teeth don't sleep together.

2. Your try to straighten out the wrinkles in your socks and discover you aren't wearing any.

3. At the breakfast table you hear snap, crackle, pop and you're not eating cereal.

4. Your back goes out but you stay home.

5. When you wake up looking like your driver's license picture.

6. It takes two tries to get up from the couch.

7. When your idea of a night out is sitting on the patio.

8. When happy hour is a nap.

9. When you're on vacation and your ENERGY runs out before your money does.

10. When you say something to your kids that your mother said to You, and you always hated it.

11. When all you want for your birthday is to not be reminded of your age.

12. When you step off a curb and look down one more time to make sure the street is still there.

13. Your idea of weight lifting is standing up.

14. It takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.

15. Your memory is shorter and your complaining lasts longer.

16. Your address book has mostly names that start with Dr.

17. You sit in a rocking chair and can't get it going.

18. The pharmacist has become your new best friend.

19. Getting "lucky" means you found your car in the parking lot.

20. The twinkle in your eye is merely a reflection from the sun on your bifocals.

21. It takes twice as long - to look half as good.

22. Everything hurts, and what doesn't hurt - doesn't work.

23. You look for your glasses for half an hour and they were on your head the whole time.

24. You sink your teeth into a steak and they stay there.

25. You give up all your bad habits and still don't feel good.

26. You have more patience, but it is actually that you just don't care anymore.

27. You finally get your head together and your body starts falling apart.

28. You wonder how you could be over the hill when you don't even remember being on top of it.

Can I get an AMEN???

Truth be told...we have all heard these funny things...but some of them are SO VERY TRUE!!

So why am I bringing this up?

Well...I have heard myself saying some incredible things the past few months...things like:

"I used to love Winter, but now I just hurt."
"This year, I will have known you for 20 years." (that number is only increasing!)
"Why am I yawning at 9:30?"
"Where did the wrinkles below my eyes come from?"
"Why is my skin not bouncing back after I pull on it?"

Seriously though...all of these things have come out of my mouth recently. I am constantly reminded that I am not getting younger. Now, don't get me wrong. There is a lot of beauty that comes with age...Drew Barrymore anybody? I'm just sayin...

But then there are the dreaded things that come with aging...like poor eyesight, soreness in places you never thought possible, things you could do yesterday are harder today, your skin isn't as elastic as it used to be. The list could go on and on.

And because I was feeling these things...especially with my skin and my face... I had to do something. Girls, I literally looked in the mirror and had no idea how these signs of aging popped up on me. So, I decided to take a look into my arbonne supplies. I came across this:

As many of you know, I have taken some steps to keep my skin looking healthy by using the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation...a choice I am SUPER happy about...along with using the Re9 advanced anti-aging system. I LOVE my products. I like knowing that I am not putting that nasty mineral oil or left over buffet food on my face and body! (click on the link to see my post on that!) And I am very happy I added this little supplement to my regimen. It has a blend of rejuvenating skin supporting nutrients, including the Arbonne Antioxidant Skin Support Blend, with Vitamins A, C, E. Bilberry fruit extract, quercetin, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, vitamins A, C, D and E which gives your skin the nourishment it needs on the inside to maintain a more youthful appearance on the outside. I have been using it for a week and I can already tell how much it is helping me. I don't like to go anywhere without make up, but now I don't mind. It really helps that I am being consistent with my Re9 Anti-Aging Skincare along with taking the supplement. But that's the way anything works right? I mean...you can't lose weight and keep it off if you aren't being consistent. So yay me! I just had to share this little piece of heaven with you! What are you doing for your skin?

Are you GEL'n?

Attention all my curly girls!!

I have a new product that I HAD to share with you!! I found this product at Walmart:

It's TIGI Curlesque Curls Rock Amplifier.

This product does not leave your hair crunchy at all!  It lasts forever because it does not take much! Out of all the products I have used...trust me...it's been a LOT...this is THE ONE!

Here's the deal though....I do not just put gel in my hair and let it go. My hair is fine and thin so I look like a wet noodle when I just let it go. Oh, to have that thick beautiful hair! I digress...moving along...This is my process:

1. Wash hair : Shampoo and Conditioner
2. Brush out hair and scrunch with a towel.
3. Put small amount of amplifier in my hand
(my hair is just past my shoulders and I used half a pump...the size of a pencil eraser)
4. Turn head upside down and scrunch amplifier all throughout my hair.
5. Wash hands...it does get pretty sticky.
6. I use my CHI hair dryer:

This was quite an expensive investment...but I bought mine 3 years ago and it still works wonderfully!! The diffuser is THE best!! I get great curls and save my arms the hassle of scrunching!
But any dryer with a diffuser will work! The diffuser is the key to softer curls!

7. Spray down my fly aways and rock the curls!

It seems like a lot of steps...but it takes me no time at all!

What curling tips do you have?

XOXO,
